2012 Mini Nationals


Venue: SERCCC , Greaves Reserve- Bennett Street, Dandenong

Date: Saturday 28th April & Sunday 29th April

Entry Fee: $25 for first class, $10 for each additional class $25 per tyre set ( 2 x sets Mini Class only)

Entries Close: Entries must be received by last mail Monday the 16th April.

Trophies: 1st through to 3rd place in each class & Concourse.

N.B. Track will be open for practice on Friday the 27th April from 12.00pm

Schedule

6 Qualifiers for each class ( IFMAR Qualifying Format)
3 finals for each class ( Best 2 out of 3 Count)

Friday 27th April

12.00pm – 5.00pm Open Practice
Tyre allocation will be available at this time, as will track timing.

Saturday 28th April

9.00am-9.45am Track open for practice ( BBQ Breakfast available before 9.00am)
9.45am -10.00am Drivers Briefing
10.00am – 5.00pm Qualifying Rounds 1- 5 ( BBQ Lunch 12.30pm – 1.30pm)

Sunday 29th April

9.00am-9.45am Track open for practice ( BBQ Breakfast available before 9.00am)
9.45am -10.00am Drivers Briefing
10.00am – 5.00pm Qualifier # 6 & 3 x Finals rounds ( BBQ Lunch 12.30pm – 1.30pm)

2012 Summer Series

Date:
Saturday January 14th Then every Saturday, with the last meeting being on February 25th -  7 Rounds. Check the calendar for more detailed dates.

Venue:
The SERCCC track is located at the rear of the Gloria Pyke netball complex off Bennett St, Dandenong. (Dandenong Showgrounds).

Classes:
Electric Powered: (open tire)

  • 540 (Silver Can only)
  • 540 Pro (21.5 no timing - "blinky") - allowed ESC and Motor List found here
  • 21.5
  • 13.5
  • Open
  • Mini

Gas Powered:

  • Nitro Pro

Meeting format:
2 x Qualifiers (Staggered Start - 6 mins) - best qualifier determines grid position for all finals.
3 x Finals (Heads Up Start - 6 mins) - finishing positions for best 2 finals (countback to dropped final, then best time) determines points allocated for the day.

Series Points Allocation:
Points are awarded per class each meeting based on the finals results in the following manner - 1st 50 pts, 2nd 48 pts, 3rd 46 pts, 4th 44 pts, 5th 42 pts, 6th 41 pts, 7th 40 pts, etc...
Rounds may be dropped according to the following table (rain outs will not count as a dropped round)

Series Awards:

Trophies for top the 3 places in the series in each class will be awarded.  A class must have run at least 5 meetings to qualify for trophies.  Trophies will be awarded to non-members.

Suggested Program:
Track open for practice and registration 3:00-3:45pm

Track closed for racing meeting 3:45pm to 4:00pm

1st Round starts 4:00pm

Note: program of events will be advised on the day.

Meeting Entry:
Cost is $6 for members, $10 for members of other clubs (Proof required) and $12 for non-members.

Location & Facility:

This circuit is located at Dandenong Showgrounds easy access just off East Link freeway. Situated beside the netball courts the Drivers Rostrum provides a high elevated view of the track.

  • A Drivers rostrum which can comfortably accommodate 12 competitors and is well elevated, providing an excellent view of the circuit
  • Male and Female toilets less then 100m away.
  • Legendary BBQ chef Trevor Wade.
  • A lap counting shed, incorporating AMBrc3 lap counting system
  • Power available, just plug in..
  • BYO tables, chairs, marquees, extension power leads as require.
  • Parking is available on site.
