Presidents Report - 16th March

Hi again from the president

As always lots has been happening at the club since my last report, the summer series has drawn to a close, congratulations again to all the winners, it was great to see how close the points ended up in the different classes, with a draw for second place in the legends class.

Again I would like to thank Models & Hobbies 4 U in Boronia for donating a pair of legend rear tires to be handed out to the legend with the quickest lap time. For anyone wishing to buy a Legend Models & Hobbies 4 U will be able to help you out.

For round one of the autumn series the weather didn’t look at all promising with looming clouds in all directions, however the rain missed the track and racing continued through the day, for the drivers that attended they have a good head start on anyone that missed out.

This coming Sunday is round two of the autumn series, let’s see a big turn out like we had for the summer series, the weather is looking great so there are no excuses to miss out on the fun down the track.

This weekend the Bendigo Classic is also running so to all those members from SERCCC going to Bendigo to race I wish you good luck, unless you are running in Super Stock against me, then I hope your wheels fall off….only joking.

Please remember to keep Sunday the 28th of this month free and to join us at the track as we put on a demonstration day at the Holden Car Show. As this is a demo day bring out any cars you would like to give a run, I will have my 1/5th F1 down there to entertain the crowed.

Other upcoming events are on the 4th of July we are having a Midyear trophy dash, then on the 28th&29th of August we are hosting the inaugural Dandenong  Cup, a two day event the details for this event will be announced on this web site over the next few weeks. The last major event for the year will be the Ron Wilson Memorial on the 5th of December.

Always keep them shinny side up
